The ever-evolving inner landscape of
Aimee Vandersteen

Aimee is a multidisciplinary artist and designer whose work explores the inner & outer landscapes through symbolism, texture, and form.

Her pieces invite a slower way of seeing, where feeling, memory, and material come into quiet conversation.

What is our shared vision?

At Bellingen Wellness, the space has always been shaped with intention, not only through the therapies offered, but through the environment that holds them.

Aimee’s work felt immediately aligned. There is a shared language between the way we approach care and the way she approaches creation, both grounded in presence, intuition, and a deep listening to what wants to emerge.

Her pieces do not sit separately within the space. They are part of it. Contributing to a feeling, a tone, an atmosphere that supports people to slow down, soften, and connect more deeply with themselves.

This is an ongoing collaboration, one that continues to evolve alongside the space itself.

Aimee
Vandersteen

Aimee is a multidisciplinary artist and designer whose practice moves between painting, textile design, and collaborative craft. Her work is grounded in a deep reverence for natural materials, intuitive process, and the language of symbolism.

Working through themes of embodiment, ancestral memory, and the sacred feminine, Aimee creates pieces that feel both personal and archetypal. Her visual language is built through intuitive mark-making — something she describes as her “creative mother tongue” — allowing each work to emerge through feeling rather than fixed form.

Her paintings and textiles are layered, tactile, and quietly expressive. Pieces such as Spine Tree and Diamond Rug hold a sense of depth and stillness, inviting reflection and a more embodied way of engaging with art.

Aimee’s work is not created to be simply observed, but to be felt — offering moments of pause, connection, and subtle recognition within the viewer.
